If you've ever been lucky enough to go to Wimbledon, you'll know it's not just about the tennis. The grounds are beautiful too, with huge borders packed full of flowers and plants. It's the vast swathes of hydrangeas that have always caught my eye.
 
So I decided it'd be fun to turn one of my own Wimbledon photos into some earrings inspired by those hydrangeas. I didn't copy the flowers exactly, but instead picked out the blues, purples and pinks that first caught my eye.
 
I made just two pairs. This pair is handmade using my handprinted aluminium with handmade silver earring wires. The abstract net pattern reminds me both of a tennis net and the texture of the hydrangeas, bringing the two inspirations together in one design.
 
Lightweight and comfortable to wear, these earrings are full of subtle detail. From a distance you'll notice the bold colours, but look a little closer and the abstract print reveals itself. They're an easy way to add colour to your outfit and make a thoughtful gift for anyone who loves contemporary handmade jewellery.
 
All my jewellery is designed and handmade in my garden studio in Dorset, UK.
 
Your earrings will arrive beautifully packaged in a gift box made from recycled paper, all ready to treat yourself or give to a loved one.
 
The oval discs are each 12x10x1mm and the total drop of the earring at the front is approx 47mm with the back earring wire being 53mm in length.
