It will never get old, the sight of a kingfisher zipping up and down the river behind my house. A flash of blue and orange, and then it’s gone. However many times I see one, it always makes me smile.
 
I couldn’t resist bringing that colour combination into my jewellery. The necklace is handmade from silver and hand dyed aluminium. Alongside the bright orange, I’ve used both the darker teal and turquoise blue you find in the kingfisher’s feathers

The oval discs are each 20x15, 14x10, 10 x 8mm and necklace comes with an 18" silver ball chain with a lobster clasp.
