Godrevy is famous for a few things. Miles of sandy beach, its lighthouse and, of course, Mutton Cove. Why Mutton Cove? Because it’s where you’ll find a colony of grey seals.
Peering down from the clifftop, I watched the seals in awe, but I was just as taken with the colours around them. That greeny-blue Atlantic sea against the grey-looking sand below was such an incredible contrast. What a special place.
When I got home, I had to try to recreate those colours in a piece of jewellery. I found these incredibly beautiful natural Amazonite beads and this one, in particular, was so like the colour and grain of the sand it was uncanny. I paired it with a piece of my handprinted aluminium in greeny blue to match the sea. It’s printed with silvery-white patterns reminiscent of the rocks. The aluminium is set in a brushed silver setting and a hammered silver circle with the same finish completes the cluster necklace.

The amazonite bead is measures approx 14mm in diameter and 4mm deep, the aluminium hand set in silver is approx 10x10x4mm and the silver circle is approx. 9 mm in diameter. The necklace comes with an 18” sterling silver ball chain.
