I really didn’t want to leave St Ives. On my last day I wandered down to Porthmeor Beach for one final look. With the Island at one end and Man’s Head at the other, it’s one of those places I could happily have stayed for hours, watching the surfers with Tate St Ives overlooking the beach.
 
The weather was grey and windy, but somehow that made the colours below even stronger. The green of the headland, blue of the sea and warm sandy tones of the beach stood out against that dark sky.
 
It was that combination of colours that stayed with me when I got home. For these earrings I’ve used pieces of my hand-dyed anodised aluminium in green and blue to represent the land and sea, with brushed brass for the sand. The three simple shapes hang from long handmade silver earring wires.
 
They’re lightweight and easy to wear, with plenty of movement. Treat yourself if you love colour and contemporary jewellery, or give them as a one-of-a-kind handmade gift.

The oval discs are each 12x10mm and the total drop of the earring at the front is approx 50mm with the back earring wire being 62mm in length.
