Porthmeor beach was lovely at any time of day, but I particularly loved seeing it at dusk on my evening dog walks around the Island. The lights around Tate St Ives would begin to twinkle as the grass and rocks on the headland darkened. And below them, the sea still held that soft aqua blue.

Those colours stayed with me. Back in my studio, this oval of dark green and blue handprinted aluminium brought that evening view straight back. I’ve paired it with a natural Amazonite pebble bead for the aqua blue of the rolling sea, and a hammered silver circle completes the cluster.

The Amazonite turns freely, revealing its different markings as you wear it. I’ve printed the aluminium on both sides too, so the pattern is always part of the necklace, whichever way it faces. The three pieces move and jangle together.

If blues and greens are the colours you keep coming back to, this handmade pendant necklace might be just your thing. A piece of Cornwall-inspired jewellery to enjoy wherever you live, or a one-of-a-kind gift for someone who loves the coast and a necklace with a story behind it.

All my jewellery is designed and handmade in my garden studio in Dorset, UK.

Your necklace will arrive beautifully packaged in a gift box made from recycled paper, all ready to treat yourself or give to a loved one.

The amazonite bead hangs from a handmade silver wire and is approx 8mm long, the aluminium hand set in silver is approx 16x12x1mm and the silver circle is approx. 7 mm in diameter. The necklace comes with an 18” sterling silver ball chain.
